MSI Stealth GS76 configured for i9s

The Stealth GS76 is the only laptop on this list that includes the new octa-core Core i9-11900H processor as standard rather than a Core i7.

This processor, associated with 32 GB RAM,

increases the performance of the computer and the GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. Of course, you have to spend more than € 3,000 for this privilege.

You have a 17.3-inch screen to play with, but the GS76 is a kilo lighter than the similarly sized Alienware m17 R4 shown below.

MSI also advertises 11 hours of battery life, which is surprisingly surprising, but you’re likely to get a lot less than that playing games rather than doing general computing tasks.

Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition, a mid-range marvel

The ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is equipped with the same Ryzen 9 processor as the Razer Blade 14 below, but you can buy it for several hundred dollars less.

While many notebooks combine the Ryzen with an Nvidia graphics card,

Asus has chosen to include the new Radeon RX 6800M, based on its RDNA 2 technology, in this notebook. And this is a first.

The battery life is impressive with over 11 hours;

The screen’s 300Hz refresh rate is also impressive, although the brightness and resolution cannot match that of the cheaper Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, cited below.

Asus oddly failed to include a front camera on this laptop, a rare misstep for a premium PC.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 6, a pretty crazy screen

Not all players can slam away from 2000 Euros or more. For those with a spending limit closer to $ 1,000, the Legion 5 Pro offers a lot, including a truly impressive display.

Not only is the 16-inch screen slightly larger than the typical 15.6-inch screen, but its 2560×1600 (WQXGA) resolution is also higher than the base 1080p resolution of other laptops on this list.

With a brightness of 500 nits, it is also impressive.

The base model is equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600H processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, but its price is reflected in the 8 gigabytes of RAM and the 256 GB hard drive.

Even the $ 1,400 configuration keeps 8 GB of memory, although it doubles the storage and upgrades the processor to a Ryzen 7 5800H and the graphics card to the GeForce RTX 3060.

Alienware m17 R4, very good to replace a stationary PC

A long-time leader in gaming laptops, Alienware hasn’t slowed down since Dell bought the brand a few years ago.

Its spacious 17.3-inch m17 R4 features a sleek magnesium alloy chassis, innovative internal cooling technology, and even an optional mechanical keyboard developed in partnership with Cherry.

Although it uses a previous generation Intel Core i7 processor and the base model only includes 256GB of storage, you can easily customize the storage, double the RAM,

and upgrade to a GeForce RTX 3070 … for a pretty sum, of course.

There are a few downsides to the m17 R4, however, including its weight, which is over a kilo heavier than MSI’s similarly sized Stealth GS76.

The advertised battery life is not mentioned, but critics found it appalling – just over two hours. The m17 R4 is therefore ideal for replacing a desktop computer.
