Innago Vs. TenantCloud

If you’re a landlord or property manager, you know that there are many options when it comes to software for managing your rental business.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed comparing features, pricing, and usability of top software options. How much should you pay for property management software? What core features do you need? What about customer support?

Research is the key to finding the right software fit for your properties. If you’ve narrowed down your options to Innago and TenantCloud, you’re in the right place.

This article outlines the major pros and cons of these top two software platforms, including pricing, feature breakdowns, customer support, and reviews. By the end of this discussion, you’ll hopefully have a good idea of which platform meets or exceeds your expectations for property management software.

TenantCloud’s pricing model offers four plans. Users can choose either the Free, Starter, Growth, or Custom plans. The Free plan only offers the most basic features of the software, such as tenant screening and rental listings. The Starter plan offers these features plus additional ones like digital leasing with eSignatures and premium leads.

If you’re interested in the Growth plan, you’ll gain access to the features in the previous two plans plus a custom lease builder tool and online sync with QuickBooks, an accounting platform. Finally, for the most flexibility and features, users can choose to create a Custom plan. With this option, you can add additional features that you’d like and negotiate your fee with the software company.

For Innago users, access to the software is entirely free- no hidden fees or caveats. How can this be? Instead of charging landlords, Innago charges tenants small fees for add-on services, such as paying with a credit card or purchasing renter’s insurance. Landlords can take on these fees if they want to, but they are not required to.

TenantCloud offers the following features across their four pricing tiers:

  • Online listing with premium leads
  • Syncing with QuickBooks online
  • Syncing with Google Calendar
  • Online rent payments with autopay and automated rent reminders
  • Online leasing, including digital eSignatures, custom lease building, and lease management
  • Tax/financial reporting

Overall, TenantCloud’s features are rated at 3.9 out of a possible 5 stars on Capterra, a popular software review site.

Innago offers the following key features for all users:

  • Custom rental applications and tenant screening (including credit, criminal, and eviction history reports)
  • Listing syndication to major listing sites
  • Online leasing with eSignatures and status tracking
  • Online rent collection via ACH, credit, or debit, plus automated rent reminders and automated late fees
  • Maintenance management with picture and video upload
  • Financial tracking and reporting (including exportable data)
  • Dedicated account representative and support via phone or email

Innago’s features are rated a 4.8 out of 5 possible stars, one of the highest ratings in the industry. Reviewers on G2 also rated each of Innago’s features higher than comparable features on TenantCloud. In general, reviewers commenting on software features preferred Innago’s platform over TenantCloud’s.

Customer Support

Customer support is essential when shopping for property management software. Prompt and accessible service is a necessity, as it helps your business run at its highest capacity. Also check: technoformats

When it comes to customer support, TenantCloud offers phone support during business hours on weekdays. Users can also watch video tutorials for common questions with the software and can submit formal tickets for technical support if they’d like further support. Overall, TenantCloud’s support received 3.9 out of 5 possible stars.

Innago’s customer support is rated significantly higher, at 4.9 stars. Each Innago user is assigned a dedicated account representative who is available by email and phone and returns calls and emails within a couple of hours, if not immediately. Innago also has a general support line, where users can reach help even after hours.

Lastly, Innago offers a variety of resources for users looking to learn more about the software, including blog articles, walk-throughs, and live webinars.

The likelihood to recommend measure is an important metric for evaluating software. Essentially, it represents a person’s true belief about the product—if they are willing to recommend it to another person, they believe strongly in the product.

According to Capterra, only 61.7% of reviewers said they were likely to recommend TenantCloud to other landlords. This statistic is very low compared to the rest of the industry. Meanwhile, 97.3% of Innago users said they would recommend the software to someone else. This high percentage indicates that Innago users are highly satisfied with their software.

When it comes to Innago vs. TenantCloud, both software options have a strong userbase and a variety of features. TenantCloud is still a useful option for many landlords, but it can’t beat Innago’s free pricing, superior customer support, and high reviews. Innago is consistently the better option in almost all cases.
